USQ would like to announce
the following scholarships that are available to new international students in
2008: USQ
Faculty of Engineering and Surveying will be offering a number of scholarships
to commencing International students who intend to undertake a Master of
Engineering or Master of Engineering Technology full-time, on-campus at USQ USQ Postgraduate Research Scholarship (http://www.usq.edu.au/scholarships/postgrad/pgres.htm) Current or future students who are or intend to be to enrolled full-time in a PhD or Masters by research are eligible to apply for this scholarship. This scholarship offers a stipend equivalent to that of the Australian Postgraduate Award Scheme and, pending satisfactory progress, will continue for the normal duration of the candidature, 3 years for doctoral studies or 2 years for masters studies. More details will be posted soon. USQ International Research Excellence Scholarship (http://www.usq.edu.au/scholarships/postgrad/intresearchexcelschol.htm) Future
students who are, or intend to be, enrolled full-time, on-campus in a PhD in
one of the University's areas of research concentration are eligible to apply
for this scholarship. Recipients will receive one of 20 scholarships valued at
AUD8,000 per year for partial payment of the registered on-campus international
student tuition fee. Endeavour International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (http://www.usq.edu.au/scholarships/postgrad/endeavour.htm) PhD
or Masters level overseas students who will undertake quality research
(fundamental or applied) in areas of research specialisation
at USQ. The Australian Government pays the tuition fees and required health
insurance premiums for successful IPRS applicants. USQ provides a fortnightly
stipend to contribute towards scholarship holders’ living expenses. Full-time

commencing international students from The majority of these scholarships close at the end of October for Semester 1, 2008 intake however some are also available for intake in Semester 2, 2008.
